Torrential rain on March 6 caused a series of mudflows in the area near the village of Chashma, which is subordinate to the city of Tursunzoda, according to the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan.
Two 18-year-olds were killed by a massive mudflow while trying to save grazing cattle. .

There were at least two natives of Tajikistan having Russian citizenship on board the Azerbaijan plane that crashed upon landing near the airport of the Kazakh city of Aktau Wednesday morning. One of them – Zinatullo Sadulloyev – was killed in the crash, while another one – Subhonqul Rahimov – survived the plane crash.

A 15-year-old resident of Dushanbe has been detained on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, the Interior Ministry’s website reports . Preliminary investigations have reportedly revealed that on the evening of December 21, the suspect had an argument with a 17-year-old acquaintance in the bathroom of an apartment.
Over a period of nearly ten months, since March 2024, 23 members of seven families were murdered in the northern city of Konibodom, leaving residents in fear. Recently, the authorities announced the arrest of four suspects.
