The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has approved the letterhead on the insurance policy for vehicle owners. Established in 2017, the NBT Insurance Supervision Department is the insurance supervision authority in Tajikistan.
Tajikistan adopted the law on the compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners in August this year. .

The Individuals Deposits Insurance Fund (Fund) has begun to pay out insurance claims to customers the Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) Kafolatbank, which is currently at the stage of liquidation. One more private insurance company – DS Sughurta LLC – has been granted to operate in Tajikistan, bringing a total number of insurance companies operating in the country to 19.
