Domestic violence: number of complaints and crimes rises in Tajikistan

Tajikistan has recorded an increase in the number of complaints and registered crimes related to domestic violence, affecting both women and men, according to the Committee on Women and Family Affairs.

Committee Chairperson Bunafsha Fayziddinzoda said that in 2025 the agency received 3,609 complaints from women reporting violence by men, an increase of 367 cases compared to 2024. .
