A fire that broke at the central bazaar in the western city of Tursunzoda has destroyed five household goods shops. No injured was reportedly injured. The fire took place at the bazaar in the afternoon of December 15.
According to some sources, the fire was caused by electricity malfunction at one of the shops. .

Natural disasters caused by torrential rain and thunderstorms on June 23 killed three people in Tajikistan, according to the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan. Two young men, aged 18 and 20, were killed by lighting in an area near Solimolidasht village in Baljuvon district of Khatlon province when collecting grass for cattle.

Сотрудники милиции города Канибадам по подозрению в убийстве супружеской пары задержали брата погибшего - жителя села Сайхун джамоата Фирузоба.
